故事讲述的是千年前，三界大战，青帝之子青泽为解救人间跳下诸仙台，其灵魂化为无数碎片，飘落大地。其弟紫苏为复活哥哥，不顾天罚，身中千根透骨钉，终到人间。 紫苏以香为媒，搜集青泽的灵魂碎片，并在一次人间战乱中，救下奄奄一息的辛夷，收为奴仆，使其成为碎片的容器。两人开了一间香铺，取名承香苑。拥有碎片的人会被引到这里，紫苏则以交换碎片为条件，满足求香者的愿望。从而经历了一次又一次跌宕起伏的爱情故事和惊心动魄的圆梦之旅。但与此同时，化身国师的反派暴徒玄冥与饮香成性的食香兽花玲儿暗中联手，机关算尽，一心破坏紫苏计划，拖延青泽复活，妄图毁灭人间。。The film is a dramatic re-enactment of real-life events that took place in 1968 in the small village of San Miguel Canoa in Puebla, México.
