The question remains as relevant today, as it was 80 years ago, and its urgency is tragically manifested in the current event...。森のはずれにある古くなった工場で、“くま工場長”にさそわれ、おもちゃ作りをはじめたすみっコたち。みんながとくいなことを活かして、上手にぬいぐるみを完成させる。くま工場長にほめられてやる気まんまんになったすみっコたちは、おそろいの制服やおいしいごはん、すみこみの部屋を用意してもらい、次から次へとおもちゃを作る日々に。そんな中、すみっコたちの町に出荷されていったおもちゃが、あちこちで動きはじめる。この工場には、なんだか“ふしぎ”なところがあって・・・？。
