爷爷退休了。当了一辈子教师的奶奶毕生的愿望就是建立一所学校，她因心脏病离世后，爷爷继续做志愿者资助失学儿童。经过一系列家庭琐事后，爷爷卖掉房子，在山区建立了一所希望小学，满足了奶奶生前的心愿……。John Ellman (Boris Karloff) has been framed for murder by a gang of racketeers. He is unfairly tried and despite the fact that his innocence has been proven, he is sent to the electric chair and executed. Dr. Evan Beaumont (Edmund Gwenn) retrieves his dead body and revives it, as part of his experiments to reanimate a dead body and discover what happens to the soul after death....。
