一个名为舒莉（芭妮塔·桑德胡饰）的女孩，每年都会热切期盼着十月的到来。那是茉莉盛开的季节，花儿将整夜的飘落，撒满一地。花期是如此的短暂，舒莉最终也如同茉莉般凋零了。多么短暂的美丽啊，就这样匆匆的走了，留给丹（瓦伦·达瓦饰）一生牵挂......。谁是战争中最大的受害者？孩子。第二次世界大战爆发了，在一场异常惨烈的空袭中，年幼的清太（吉武怜朗 饰）和妹妹节子（晶山彩奈 饰）失去了一直以来竭力保护着他们的母亲雪子（松田圣子 饰），而远在前线的父亲亦了无音信。无奈之中，清太只得带着妹妹投奔远房亲戚。 不断恶化的局势和越来越紧俏的物资让清太察觉到了亲戚的不满和排斥，再也无法忍受寄人篱下的生活的清太和节子选择了离家出走。无依无靠的两人，住在破败寒冷的防空洞中，吃着有一顿没一顿的残羹剩饭，虽然清太和母亲一样保护和爱护着节子，但他们微弱的生命之火还是在狂风中日渐衰弱。终于，日本战败的消息传来，在一片悲哀和肃杀的气氛中，清太和节子的生命走向了尽头。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
