1958年12月，古巴，职业睹徒杰克前往古巴的首都哈瓦娜，参加一场大型扑克牌赛，期望藉此大挥一笔。他在当地邂逅了一名美丽的已婚女子罗贝塔，她的丈夫是当地的共产党革命领袖，两人情不自禁的坠入了情网。此时，罗贝塔的丈夫遭军队杀害，她也被政府逮捕烤问，杰克试着将她救出，但是他却无法阻止罗贝塔对革命的狂热支持……。王永堂，在結婚時，同時愛上兩個女人（其實他最愛的是林玉芳），卻與張麗淑結婚。使得玉芳有情無份（地位），麗淑卻有份無情（愛情）……但是在兩房都生了三個孩子；因為對一方有情無份，對另一方又有份無情，所以最後只有離婚收場……。Guy Maddin writes, "Tscherkassky has made two films cannibalizing Sidney J.
